Brighten Up Your Year With Flowers In 2017

Monday, January 9th 2017 10:05pm

As this is our first blog post of the year we would just like to say a Happy New Year to you, and we hope that 2017 proves a great year for us all. After a short Christmas break we are raring to go this year and I hope that we will be seeing you in our shop at Armagh Blooms very soon.

For one way that will certainly brighten up your day, and we certainly need it on some of the cold winters days, is to bring some flowers into your home. Flowers lighten up the atmosphere and give any room a perceptible lift, and this can only be a good thing for our senses and our state of mind. It has been proven that having flowers close to you can actually be beneficial for your health so maybe one day you will be able to purchase them on prescription!

We are very lucky to have so many beautiful flowers indigenous to our country. Northern Ireland is such a lush and green place and we do feel blessed to run a florists shop here. Just take a look at a list of some of the most popular ones, as we have Shell Flower (Molucca Balm), Easter Lilies, Amaryllis, Lilies, Roses, Chrysanthemums, Wild Flowers, Campanula rotundifolia, Cicuta virosa, Ulex europaeus, Saxifraga oppositifolia, Spring Squill, Globeflower and Bog-rosemary as native flowers of Ireland.

The most popular types of flowers here in Northern Ireland are the following: Lillies, Roses, Sunflowers, Gerberas, Orchids and Daffodils. But there are many others too numerous to mention that we supply to our customers on a regular basis.

We all need to bring a little sunshine into our lives as much as we possibly can, and one relatively cheap way of doing this is to surround yourself with fresh, colourful, fragrant flowers which will remind you of how great it is to be alive! If you have not had any flowers in your home for some little time then why not treat yourself and see what a difference they can make to your home. If you are in Armagh over the next few days or weeks why not call in and check us out, we look forward to seeing you.
